Data Controller
Une semaine de sport, 5 rue du Village-Suisse, 1205 Geneva, Switzerland is the data controller for the processing of personal data in accordance with the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP 2023).
Personal Data Collected
When registering individually or as a group online, we collect the following information:
- Child information: first name, last name, age, residential address and the first name, last name and phone number of the child’s primary care physician.
- Contact parent’s information: first name, last name, mobile phone number, email address, first name and last name of the adult authorized to pick up the child.
- Parental waivers and authorizations (legal representatives): liability waiver in the event of an accident, civil liability waiver covering damages and theft, and acceptance of the parental authorization and the child’s consent regarding the use of their image.
- Acceptance by the parents (legal representatives) of the general terms and conditions.
Purpose of Processing
These personal data are used to: organize the activity weeks, communicate with parents regarding their child’s registration and upcoming events; and apply for financial support from Geneva municipalities. Photos taken during the activities may be published on our website.
Image Rights and Use
Taking photos is prohibited during our activity weeks. However, a professional photographer may be present to take photos when parents have previously granted authorization for the use of their child’s image.
USDS is a co-signatory of the charter of the Fondation Action Innocence in 2019. It is committed to a caring and balanced approach aimed at promoting a positive and responsible use of digital tools.
Data Retention Period
Personal data is stored on a secure server in Switzerland by Infomaniak for one year, ensuring privacy protection. Only email addresses are retained beyond this period to keep parents informed.
Parents’ Rights
Parents may request the deletion of their child’s data once the child is no longer registered for any activity week. Requests should be sent to info@usds.ch
Data Sharing with Third Parties
No personal data is transmitted to any third party.
Legal Framework
Data processing is governed by the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP 2023).
